Back at the Mountain View Grand, Alayne pets a goat by the stables while waiting for our trail ride to begin.

Alayne gets to know Ruby, her "horse" for the trail ride.
Ruby is actually a pony, because she is less than 14.1 hands tall. One hand is equal to four inches. If a "horse" is less than 14.1 hands (i.e. 56.4 inches or 4 feet, 8.4 inches), than the "horse" is actually a "pony".
Jason got to ride on Dodger. Dodger is slightly taller than Ruby, so Dodger was actually a "horse".

Alayne is sitting on Ruby and is excited for the upcoming trail ride.

At the end of the ride, we all get ready to get down from the horses. The white horse in this photo is Dodger.

On Sunday morning, Alayne is standing in the parking lot at Mount Washington. They would not let us (or anyone else) drive up to the summit because of "snow" and "ice" on the upper half of the mountain roadway.

At the Mount Washington gift shop, we each flattened a penny to make a nice souvenier. I flattened my penny with the "Old Man of the Mountain" image.

We took the scenic route home, and stopped by a small river on Sunday afternoon. This is Alayne standing by the shores of the river.
