On Monday morning we wake up after our second night of camping. We grab our food and head to the beach to eat breakfast and escape the killer mosquitoes. Afterwards we take a relaxing stroll and then decide to head back to camp and pack up. On the drive, we are not taking the "scenic route" and are making good time. So we decide to skip our lunch plans in Halifax and head straight to Caribou, Nova Scotia to catch the ferry to Prince Edward Island.

Alayne stands on the beach in the early morning sunlight.

Jason walks on the beach.

Jason sits on a rock on the edge of the beach, eating Frosting Flakes.
They're gr-r-r-r-reat!

Alayne sits down next to Jason.

Alayne is so excited, she does a cartwheel on the beach.

Alayne is on the ferry to Prince Edward Island.
Note: in the background, you can still see a line of cars waiting to get on the ferry.

Jason is on the ferry. The ferry has not yet left Nova Scotia.

Jason walks around on the deck.

Shortly after leaving Nova Scotia on the ferry ride, we see this boat that is anchored.

This is a piece of land that the ferry rode by at the beginning of the trip.
This photo is pretty cool, huh?
Notice all the birds sitting on the beach.

The birds have taken flight.

Alayne drinks hot tea on the deck of the ferry.

Arrggghhh Matey!

In Canada, they also have ice cream.
Alayne eats some of it shortly after arriving on Prince Edward Island.

Jason is smiling, because he has just finished a cup of chocolate ice cream.
