Friday. After breakfast, we check out of the B+B and hit the road at 9AM (Atlantic time zone). Our plan is to camp somewhere in New Brunswick or Maine, and break up the drive home. But somewhere along the way, we just decide to go for broke. The full monty, if you will. We get finally get back to Boston shortly after 8 PM (eastern time zone), which makes for a full 12 hours of traveling (including a few gas stops and lunch stops). A total of 1510 miles were put on my car during this trip.

A farm on Prince Edward Island.

Another farm, still on Prince Edward Island.

Approaching the toll booths to drive over the Confederation Bridge.
This bridge is 7.75 miles long, and the toll was 39.50 Canadian Dollars.

Driving on the bridge.
Not much of a view, because of the high jersey barriers.

Approaching the US border. Hopefully the border guard won't notice that my inspection sticket is 3 months expired.

We stop at the first exit off I-95 back in the USA, and Alayne starts to drive.
The rest area looks familiar, because we had stopped at the exact same one two years ago (August 1, 2003) when heading up to Limestone, Maine for the "It" Phish festival. (additionally, Jason probably stopped there back in 1998 for Lemonwheel, also in Limestone).
Alayne drives through most of Maine, and then we switch again, and Jason drives home to Cambridge. We then order pizza and fall asleep.

That's all the photos. Well, all the photos worth posting online, anyway. Hope you enjoyed looking at them. It was a great trip.
